| A native of Cambridge and a Somerville resident since 1995, Alex has a deep understanding of the local market. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he learned the ropes of real estate investment working construction for residential and commercial developers in the Cambridge area. His favorite projects were multi-family rehabs and redevelopment of historic properties. Alex was instrumental in the launch of The Kendall Hotel in Cambridge, an historic renovation of a Victorian era firehouse, and stayed on board as the manager of building systems until 2004. Alex has been a mortgage loan officer since 2005, and knows that current lending rates are the lowest they have been in a decade.
